What’s going on in the Knox house?

31 07 2009

It’s hard to believe August is here! London is now 4 months old and growing so much. We have had a fast summer even though we’ve stayed home. Steve and I are still part of a great small group with our church. Currently we are reading/studying the book “Parenting by the Book.” It’s been great discussion so far. All the couples in our group have young kids, so it’s a great fit for us.

The airlines have taken a hit just like the rest of the economy which means that the company Steve flies for, ASA, is letting a good number of pilots go. Steve will be keeping his job but will be experiencing some changes. We’ve just been praying that God will help us to continue to trust Him in what is to come for his job and for us. He has had a great attitude in all of this and I am so proud of him.

On another note, we are planning a family vacation. Trying to find the perfect vacation spot for a family with 2 small children is definitely a BIG deal! We already are expecting that it won’t really be a vaca, but are trying to find the perfect spot. Any suggestions?

I’m missing my Mississippi friends and family and hoping to find time for  a trip soon! It gets farther and farther away the more babies we have:) Here are a few pictures of the girls and us!

London turned 3 months this weekend. I wanted to post a picture of each of the girls at 3 months to see how if and how much they look like sisters! Check it out.

Fireworks and Friends

5 07 2009

We had a great 4th of July weekend. Steve was on call all weekend but managed to get some free days to be at home with us. Esther (my sister) came to visit from Mississippi with her boyfriend Cody. We had a great time hanging out with them. Mary Peyton loves company and showing off every single toy and trick she has to new people in the house. Friday night we braved Stone Mountain Laser Show with both girls. The show didn’t start until 9:30 so we just kept our fingers crossed. We packed a picnic and enjoyed the laser show and fireworks. Yes, we are crazy, but it was a memory worth making. Friends from our small group came over on the 4th and we played in the back yard and grilled burgers. Finished off the weekend with a great service at our church this morning with everyone! Here are a few recent pictures.
