Visit to the Aquarium

27 02 2009

Steve and I took Mary Peyton to the aquarium and she absolutely loved it. We loved watching her and hearing her react to all the “fish.” We got a few cute shots of her looking at some of the different exhibits. We wanted to make a special trip with her before London arrives. It was well worth it.

3 Cheers for Daddy!

23 02 2009

Well, we threw away all of the pacis! Steve had to talk me into doing it this week. I’ve been saying that we needed to get rid of it, but dreading taking it away. Mary Peyton was so attached and I was pretty attached as well. Steve was off a couple of days this week and was home with MP. While I was at work on Wednesday, he decided to take it away. We had lots of wailing and non-napping for 3 days, just like we had been warned by our doctor. Finally, last night, MP went to bed like an angel. Now hopefully she will have 6 good weeks to adjust before baby London comes and has a paci of her own! I’m so thankful that Steve wanted to take this on. He was braver than me. He’s a GREAT dad and husband.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Steve and I were able to get away and enjoy some time together…we think probably our last get away for several months! Mary Peyton stayed with Steve’s parents. She had a fun Valentine’s party with her cousins. When we arrived home to pick her up, this is what we found:)

15 months, new teeth, and a birthday

1 02 2009

We took MP to the doctor this week for her 15 month check up. She’s weighing in at 22 pounds and 32 inches long. Both the nurse and the doctor commented on her personality after just being with her for a few moments. The nurse told us that she was very strong willed, which came as no surprise to us. The doctor mentioned that she is going to be a “little pistol.” That also came as no surprise! She is a sweet little pistol though and is cutting all kinds of massive teeth in the back of her mouth. This makes for lots of nose wipes and lots of fussiness around our house these days. We also celebrated my birthday with Steve’s family a few weekends ago. It was fun having everyone out to our house! Here are a few latest pics…
