football season, small group, and a little something else…

29 08 2008

Well, it’s officially here…football season 08! It’s in the air at our house. Steve is playing pick up games in our front yard with the neighborhood kids and he’s teaching MP how to carry the football. His full size ball is a bit too big for her, but somehow she has figured out how to travel with it. It’s so funny. I think Steve just wishes she could throw the ball with him. He’s already been calling plays to her and telling her that she’s going to need to be a fan…what team? Really doesn’t matter to Steve, just as long as you’re a fan, that’s good with him. I guess I should look for her some pom-poms before Steve puts her in a jersey:)

On another note, we recently attended GroupLink at our church, which is an event where couples get connected in community group. Steve and I are going to lead a married couples group. We joined up with 6 other couples and are getting ready to have our first group night next week. We are excited. It will be fun getting to know some new couples. Most all of them live close and have kids around the same ages.

And a little bit of news from our house if you’ve read this far….we are having another BABY! Baby Knox is due April 15..Tax Day:) We better get ours done early this year. MP and the new baby will be about 18 months apart..and yes, we were trying. We know we are a little crazy, but we were willing to risk it. It should be fun. I’ll be more excited once I get over feeling sick all day long. If it is similar to my 1st pregnancy, I should have about 6 more weeks of nausea…funny how you forget, but then it suddenly comes back to you.

Here are a few recent pics. Cute video to follow hopefully.

Visit with the Family

10 08 2008

My mom, brother, and sister came to visit us this weekend. We had lots of fun being together. Mary peyton also enjoyed spending time with her CC, aunt, and uncle. She is good at showing off her tricks to visitors, and of course we all love watching them. We took a trip to Dahlonega, a cute little town in North Georgia. We also took MP on her first train ride through the city. She loved it. We visited the World of Coke. Steve actually gave her a sip of Coke! Our Dr. would get us for that one, but I think she liked it! It is always a special time when everyone can actually clear their schedules at the same time and make the effort to come visit. We treasure every time more and more. Here are a few pics from our weekend.

Mary Peyton started walking this week! She is 9 months and 1 week. She is so cute and definitely notices that she is doing something new.
